LONDON

As Joey on Friends said, "London, baby!"

The hotel.  A couple blocks from the Queen's place...

You know how interior staircases in modern buildings don't look like much because they're really intended to be used for emergencies?  Here's the stairs in this building, which I'm pretty sure was built before "lifts"...  Kinda nice looking, eh?

After having flown all night and arriving late in the day due to the time change, didn't see many sites the first night, but since Elizabeth wasn't too far, we decided to drop by and say howdy.

Here a couple closer-ups of the gate.  A bit fancier than I have on my compound entry gates, but to each their own, right?

And here's a couple that you don't normally get to see -- the side of the palace with workers' cars...

And lastly, one of Beth's toy soldiers marching around.  The guards had these kicky little turns and steps they did.  Looks like it was a "Say something hat day."
